Classes are offered Monday and Wednesday at 11 am, for everyone interested in learning to relaxing main areas of tension, neck, hips, back and mind.

Suggested donation $10 to 15. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Tlawil is certified with yoga alliance with 216 hours through AIYY ( International Association of Yoga and Yoghism) and 500 hours certification for Chakra Yoga Healing.

Personal history

I grew up with the vedic and yogic lifestyle, ashrams and gurus beginning my practice from the early age of  7, all what I have experience with yoga through my life is been a process of self-consciousness, self-discipline, control, balance, emotions,  gratitude and love, challenging myself each time, and learning at all times, finding the best way for my students to feel what I have felt with all my yoga experience, I began teaching when I was 15 and stop teaching for a year cause i wanted to know what it was not to do yoga, but then I learned even more, cause yoga is everything, the state of  awareness at all times, while working, studying, eating, etc etc,

Thanks to yoga, I have found that inner strength, respect, love, happiness and to keep that connection, with me and with everyone as a whole.

My classes are fluent like the breath, strong like the heartbeat moving the oxygen through the body, balanced and challenging like our mind, and powerful like the warrior we all are, also, simple for all kinds of yoga practitioners, making adjustments depending on your yoga experience, my yoga class is great for a beginner cause I can lead you, through the real yoga experience…

Kummooyeh

(Way of Korean Sword)

Kummooyeh, also called Kumdo in short is composed of many types of training, such as moving meditation, basic movements, sword patterns, cutting, sparring techniques and Korean traditional archery. Each type has a different purpose for developing students of Kummooyeh.

Jerry T Dean began training taekwondo in 2001 and attained his black belt in 2006. He has experience in various other disciplines such as judo, karate, hapkido, kickboxing and weapon arts sword, archery and more. He currently holds 4th degree black belt in taekwondo. He is now training and teaching the art of Kummooyeh “way of korean sword”. He also traveled to South Korea and competed in the 2017 world taekwondo Hanmadang with team MooDo TKD.

Zen Meditation

Led by Matt Shinkai Kane:
Tuesday & Thursdays 7 – 8 am
Zen is strongly associated with group practice. Having the opportunity to be with others on the same path is tremendously beneficial. There is time for guidance for beginners and some teaching. We typically do two 25 minute periods of seated meditation with some walking meditation in between. There is no charge. We operate on freely given donations.

Sundays 5:30 – 7 pm
Zen is strongly associated with group practice. Having the opportunity to be with others on the same path is tremendously beneficial. This session is our main weekly meeting, and there is time for guidance for beginners and some teaching. We begin with a short dharma talk followed by zazen (seated meditation) with an opportunity for sanzen (private Zen interview) until around 7pm. We then have an optional informal tea time finishing around 7:15 or so. There is no charge. We operate on freely given donations.

Fridays 7:30-8:30pm
Zen is strongly associated with group practice. Having the opportunity to practice with others on the same path is tremendously beneficial. On Fridays we introduce various meditation practices, energy exercises, and self-healing practices of our tradition. We typically do two periods of practice with some walking meditation in between. Good for beginners! There is no charge. We operate on freely given donations.

Samba Já is Eugene’s own bateria – a thirty-member mobile percussion ensemble.
